50 years of DIY history
The grouping was founded in the early 1960s by visionary pioneers who believed in the emergency of a new market. The grouping later transformed from an association sharing supplier data into a cooperative.
To begin with, each store had its own name. In 1980, all stores switched to one shared store name: Mr Bricolage.
Mr Bricolage SA was initially listed on the stock market in 2000. After this point, several rival networks joined the ranks of this grouping of independent traders. The Group therefore contributed to consolidating the DIY market. The Group is now the leading group of independent traders and the 3rd actor on its market.
Even today, the operating procedures invented by the founders and their successors continue to be applied. The Group remains, now more than ever, faithful to the concept of local independent trading. We are talking more than roots, this is DNA!
